Blood cells are the red blood cells(RBC) and white blood cells(WBC)
Did you mean that you have blood cells low in RBC AND WBC or only one of them .
Interpreting a blood test will depend on the symptoms you have for the cause that make you undergo a test ,this is one ,another point is the numbers of their levels in blood ,i mean the RBC count ,hematocrite ,hemoglobine ,WBC count ,both points may mean what could it be .
These are some causes :
RBC or red blood count may be low in case of anemia ,bleeding, bone marrow failure (for example, from radiation, toxins, or tumor),leukemia, nutrition deficiencies of iron, copper, folic acid, vitamin B6, or vitamin B12,malnutrition ,Overhydration,...
WBC or white blood test may be low in case of use of medications or drugs, chronic infections (Viral infections), autoimmune conditions, blood cancers, nutritional deficiencies, congenital problems or bone marrow failure states among other reasons.
When both RBC and WBC are affected several causes come to mind, the marrow may be stressed in response to infection, or due to a medication. This would also be a common pattern in bone marrow production problems such as the myelodysplastic syndromes. Patients with acute leukemia can also present in this result.
A thorough evaluation by a hematologist is required.
