Mesenchymal chondrosarcoma is a rare tumor of soft tissues and bone ,it is a malignant type of chondrosarcoma, or cancer of cartilage. when occur near the spinal cord, also known as a parameningeal presentationpain, but even after treatment, it can relapse years later, it can cause swelling, or limited movement that is caused by the tumor.
if you feel any weird symptom or a swelling or pain at the site of tumor ,my question is how long have you been from the last scan you make after treatment in these two years, have you make check ups?my advice if from so far since 2 years with no x ray or ct scan then to go ahead to your doctor and make a new scan ,i am not saying that there is something wrong but it is a normal check up after treatment to check what is the rate of success and recovery or relapse of tumor ,it is important .
As for chemotherapy ,there are many different chemotherapy drugs with the potential for many different side effects. These effects vary from person to person and from treatment to treatment. most side effects clear up shortly after treatment ends, some may continue well after chemotherapy has ended, and some may never go away.
Nearly any type of treatment can cause late effects, and these are specific to the treatment you received. If you are concerned about a particular late effect, please talk with your doctor.
