I measure my heart rate everyday (using phone) and it has an average of 52. I am athletic. Should I consult a doctor?
Oct 9, 2015
Athletes usually have a lower than average heart rate. This is due to the fact that their hearts eject more blood per beat and as such a lower heart rate is needed to maintain cardiac output.
