I have frequent night sweats, what's the cause? I checked online and the causes are a bit exaggerated.

Excessive sweating, when and if associated with a particular set of signs and symptoms (what we label as red flags since they raise concern), can be worrisome. These signs and symptoms include:
- fever (actual documented fever, and not a sensation of being feverish)
- unexplained significant weight loss (not because of a dietary plan or exercise) over a relatively short period of time
- nighttime cough
- generalized fatigue or weakness
- pallor
- bone pain
- enlarged lymph nodes in multiple areas of the body
The most likely and plausible explanation for the diffuse sweating is probably the hot weather, especially if you are an otherwise healthy individual and have no history of exposure to very sick individuals (risk of exposure to tuberculosis for example).
If, for any of the above detailed reasons, you are concerned, it would be better to visit your doctor for reassurance.
