It depends on what tests you have done ,there are many probable causes for (Polyurea)or frequent urination ,so the doctor beside other symptoms you are experiencing ,he can point on tests to be done and know the cause .It is not normal that every 15 min you or couple of hours you have frequent urination unless you are drinking too much fluids before sleep or taking medications that affect that .have you been checked for prostatitis with a doctor or did images ,have you done images or just a blood test .It depends also on the duration these symptoms are present.
Depending on the findings of the physical exam and medical history, your doctor may order tests, including:
>Urinalysis. The microscopic examination of urine that also involves a number of tests to detect and measure various compounds that pass through the urine
>Cystometry. A test that measures the pressure inside of the bladder to see how well the bladder is working; cystometry is done to determine if a muscle or nerve problem may be causing problems with how well the bladder holds or releases urine.
>Cystoscopy. A test that allows your doctor to look at the inside of the bladder and urethra using a thin, lighted instrument called a cystoscope
>Neurological Tests. Diagnostic tests and procedures that help the doctor confirm or rule out the presence of a nerve disorder
>Ultrasonography. A diagnostic imaging test used to visualize an internal body structure
Frequent urination may be caused by conditions affecting the urinary tract at any level. The urinary tract includes the kidneys, the tubes connecting the kidneys to the bladder (ureters), the bladder, and the tube through which urine flows from the bladder (urethra).
Several factors can cause frequent urination, such as:
-Infection, disease or injury of the bladder
-Conditions that increase urine production
-Changes in muscles, nerves or other tissues affecting bladder function
-Certain cancer treatments
-Drugs or beverages that increase urine production
Specific diseases, conditions or other factors that can result in frequent urination include:
-Bladder cancer
-Bladder stones
-Change in kidney function
-Cystocele
-Diabetes insipidus
-Diuretics
-Excess consumption of alcohol or caffeine
-Interstitial cystitis
-Kidney infection
-Overactive bladder
-Pregnancy
-Prostate gland enlargement
Prostatitis
-Radiation treatment affecting the pelvis or lower abdomen
-Type 1 diabetes
-Type 2 diabetes
-Urinary incontinence
-Urinary tract infection
