Does Regula plus intake (2tbts/d) have side effects on the long run if taken for over a year during a diet to prevent/ fight constipation?

Regula Plus is based on a natural laxative known as Sennoside, which is a stimulant laxative. It works by irritating bowel tissues, resulting in bowel movements.
Despite the fact that this is a natural product, the main concerns are:
1- Your bowels will become habituated to receive this extra stimulation or push in order for them to contract and move (medical term "peristalsis"), so they may become dependent on them and you will suffer from chronic constipation once you stop taking Regula Plus after this much time (a year is a long time really).
2- Any inappropriate dosing may result in diarrhea with loss of fluids and minerals, and dehydration
3- Some individuals may have wearing off of the inner linings of the intestines (intestinal villi) with prolonged use of laxatives; the result is: poor absorption of food, bloating, and again constipation.
My advice is: use Regula Plus judiciously and not on a daily basis - try to restrict the use to no more than 3 times per week. Focus on fiber-rich foods, drink plenty of water and keep active, this is a better way to stimulate your bowels to move without medications.
