Some people's kidneys have a high filtration rate, which is not a bad thing, whereas the opposite is true - a low filtration rate is a marker of kidney disease. This becomes more obvious in the cold season (because of less sweating so the main channels of fluid excretion from the body are respiration and urination). Unless you have other urinary symptoms, such as burning sensation, urgency, pain upon urination, abnormal urine color (too dark, or blood in urine), odd urine smell, then you need not worry. If frequent urination is accompanied by excessive thirst sensation, and you have a string family history of diabetes at a young age, you may want to get a fasting blood sugar level, just for reassurance.
