Hi My daughter is 13 years old she has irregular periods. Now she has gynecological bleeding for 20 days. she took dycinone treatment for 7 days, she still have the same problem. doctor what to do?
periods can be irregular between the age of 12-13 up till tyhe age of 18, (this is due to the immature hypothalamic -gonadal axis)
so no worry, but if the bleeding is excessive i recommend pelvic ultrasound and hormonal work-up
