Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Your symptoms can very well fit into irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), a functional intestinal disorder, that is, it results from dysfunction of the muscles of the gut or the nerves supplying those muscles. This produces symptoms of bloating, flatulence (gassiness), alternating diarrhea and constipation, and colics. Vomiting may also occur although less commonly. IBS is diagnosed only after having ruled out organic causes of the symptoms (like intestinal infection with bacteria or parasite, urine infection, celiac disease - gluten sensitivity, inflammatory bowel disease, or even pregnancy if you're sexually active). Treatment is based on some meds but mostly it's a diet and lifestyle variation: organization of meals, lots of water, fiber rich diet, avoiding coffee/chocolate/smoking, stress relieving exercise (yoga, meditation...).

It could be irritable bowel syndrome, general anxiety, depression, hyperthyroidism and hyperparathyroidism. But you should consult with your physician for further evaluation and to know the exact cause of your symptoms.
