When the fasting blood levels of cholesterol are elevated, we need to look at the other lipid levels (triglycerides, LDL or the bad cholesterol, and HDL or the good cholesterol). Overall, and with no family history of lipid disease, the thing to blame is your diet. But this blood sugar value places you in the pre-diabetic category. You need to modify your diet and maybe have an HbA1C level done as well (this test indicates the sugar reservoir in your body so to speak).
