التكيس على المبيض يحدث حين تتكون أكياس صغيرة حميدة، عادةً ما يفوق عددها ال 12، على أحد المبيضين أو الاثنين في الوقت نفسه. و هذا يسبب اضطرابات في الدورة الشهرية. لذا يجب إجراء صورة صوتية للمبيضين و الرحم.
