Why do I get fast heartbeats when I eat olives? It happens in summer only. In winter there's no problem.

I can think of this explanation to your problem.
Olives are high in salt or "sodium".Because sodium attracts and holds water, your blood volume increases. Increased blood volume, in turn, makes your heart work harder to move more blood through your blood vessels, increasing pressure in your arteries and also your heart rate.

The problem with olives is that one tiny olive contains a large amount of sodium, but not many people can stop with just one
1/2-cup serving of black olives contains about 735 milligrams of sodium or about 1/3 teaspoon of salt.
1/2-cup serving of green olives contains about 1,556 milligrams of sodium. This is equal to just over 2/3 teaspoon of salt.
the upper limit of sodium recommended for healthy adults is 2300 milligram
the upper limit of sodium for people above age of 50 and for those already diagnosed with heart disease or high blood pressure is 1500 milligram
1,500-milligram limit is equal to about 2/3 teaspoon of salt.
thus ,amount of sodium in 1/2 cup of green olive =1 cup of black olive=2/3 spoon of salt
so whenever the amount of sodium is exceeded above the recommended daily limit then we will start suffering sodium excess side effects, Too much sodium can contribute to an increased risk of certain health problems such as water retention, salt can cause damage to the kidneys, which can lead to kidney disease and kidney failure, too much salt can increase your blood pressure, which puts you at a higher risk for developing heart disease.
