What's the difference between a neonatal surgeon and a pediatrics surgeon? I'm a med student considering my options.

Dr. Youssef El Bitar Orthopedic Surgery
A pediatric surgeon takes care of children from the age of 1 day up until 18 years. A neonatal surgeon is basically a pediatric surgeon that takes care of children from the ago of 1 day until 28 of life (period debatable, but this is the general consensus).

Those are not separate specialties. Every pediatric surgeon is trained to do neonatal surgical cases.
