May 6, 2014

Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
all kidney problems can be presented with swollen eyes, since a problem in the kidney will cause a problem in water salt retention in the body ,and for that puffiness might be presented in kidney diseases such as in nephrotic syndrome ,glomerulonephritis, chronic kidney disease, kidney failure ,...
but in kidney disease puffiness is a symptom of many ,there should be other symptoms and you will see swollen legs too
some symptoms that may be related to a kidney problem
feel more tired and have less energy
have trouble concentrating
-have a poor appetite
-have trouble sleeping
-have muscle cramping at night
-have swollen feet and ankles
-have puffiness around your eyes, especially in the morning
-have dry, itchy skin
-need to urinate more often, especially at night
You may have an increased risk for kidney disease if you:
-have diabetes
-have a family history of kidney failure
-are older
if any of these symptoms are the case or you are worried then consult your doctor for a urine test ,and other tests
