What does dark mucus means when coughing due to a cold?
Mar 25, 2013
it most probably due to bronchitis. the color, duration and associated symptoms helps us differentiate from viral bronchitis (most common cause) or bacterial. for example if it is white or clear yellow then its viral, however if it is green or black then there must be a superimposed bacterial infection.
