Usually for oral contraceptive pill can be taken 5 days before period to postpone it couple of days
Apr 23, 2013

Dr. Christelle Abboud Obstetrics & Gynecology
It isn't contraceptive pill but progesterone that is usually used to postpone the period, preferably started at day 16 or 17 of your cycle; if started later (5 days bedore the period), higher doses must be used.
If you are taking contraceptive pills, the best way to postpone the period is not stopping the pill for the breakthrough bleeding and immediately start a new box. Once you'll stop taking the pill, you'll have your usual breakthrough bleeding.
you should pay your gynecologist a visit for the adequate prescription
