When I take a deep breath, I feel a sharp pain on the base of my penis (not while aroused). I feel the pain is at the tip of my bladder. I also feel a constant need to urinate. What could that be?

Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
A urinary tract infection (UTI) is caused by bacteria that get inside your urinary tract. Most bacteria that enter your urinary tract are expelled when you urinate. If the bacteria stay in your urinary tract, you may get an infection. Your urinary tract includes your kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra. Urine is made in your kidneys, and it flows from the ureters to the bladder. Urine leaves the bladder through the urethra. A UTI is more common in your lower urinary tract, which includes your bladder and urethra.
>>You may have an infection if you have ANY of these symptoms:
-You feel pain or burning when you urinate.
-You feel like you have to urinate often, but not much urine comes out when you do.
-You have pain in your lower belly.
-Your urine is cloudy, looks pink or red, or smells bad.
-You have pain on one side of your back under your ribs. This is where your kidneys are.
-You have fever and chills.
-You have nausea and vomiting.
Most urinary tract infections are bladder infections. A bladder infection usually is not serious if it is treated right away. If you do not take care of a bladder infection, it can spread to your kidneys.
