Under my left ear, on the neck, I feel a small ball (pea size) from inside. It isn't visible from outside... What can it be? It sometimes hurts...

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
This could be an inflamed lymph node. Lymph nodes are structures that harbor different types of white blood cells; they drain different parts of the body according to location. So for instance, if you have infected acne on your face or scalp, this lymph node enlarges and becomes painful to touch, then shrinks back to its original size. As long as it's soft (not hard) , movable (not fixed), painful, and not bigger than pea size, it's benign.
