Some causes of hair loss are of stress ,anxiety ,medications ,and unhealthy low diet and some causes are medical problems like thyroid gland disease or any other disease and some are of heredity which is called in men male pattern baldness .

Heredity baldness is identified by the pattern of hair loss. The hair loss typically begins at the temples or the crown of the head. Some men will get a single bald spot, while for others their hairline will recede to form a “M” shape. In some men, the hairline will continue to recede until all or most of the hair is gone.

Stress may speed up the process ,stress may cause hair loss by increasing the production levels of sex hormones in the body. You can reduce stress by participating in relaxing activities, such as walking, listening to calming music, and spending more quiet time.

Treatment options include :

>If your hair loss is caused by an underlying disease, treatment for that disease will be necessary. if the cause is because of underlying autoimmune diseasetreatment is with drugs to reduce inflammation and suppress your immune system, such as prednisone.
>if the cause is of lack of vitamins then vitamin supplements for hair loss are of benefit ,Multivitamins are known to nourish skin and hair
>if you have poor diet habits as a cause eat a nutritionally balanced diet.
-Vitamins that play this role are zinc, vitamin B complex, folate, iron, calcium, vitamin D and E play a role too ,some injections used for this purpose contain biotin may help.
>if the cause is mild stress then relaxing and exercising changing routine is of benefit and if the stress or depression is severe anti depressents will help through doctor advice .
>hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism causes are treated with thyroid medications

>if the cause is heredity then :

Medications approved to treat hair loss include are Minoxidil(non prescription medication)and Fenasteride(prescription medication)
Minoxidil is used to stimulate hair growth and to slow balding. It is most effective for people whose hair loss is recent. Minoxidil has no effect on receding hairlines. It does not cure baldness; most new hair is lost within a few months after the drug is stopped and note that exceeding the recommended dosage does not produce greater or faster hair growth and may cause increased side effects. You must use minoxidil for at least 4 months, and possibly for up to 1 year, before you see any effect
The improvement that you may get with Minoxidil is only temporary and its effects will reverse when the treatment has stopped.

>surgery includes hair transplant or scalp reduction
