you should follow these measures always ,they protect you from recurrent or having the problem again and to not worry all of us must follow these measures for healthy bowel movement and healthy being not only you
concerning how long does this ball will stay after these measures then it depends on the severity of your symptoms the time varies and there is no constant time for that ,and you can apply an over the counter hemorrhoid local cream inside and outside the anus to restrict its presence and constricts the vessels there but it is better and i prefer to go to a doctor he will give examine the ball and insure the diagnose and so gives you the necessary treatment.don't worry you can ask as you want to .
