Regarding the HPV vaccine, should I take the gardasil or cervarix or both shots? What is the difference between the two and what are the benefits of each separately and combined?
I am for the Cervarix shot. Only cervarix provides protection against each of the most common cancercs causing HPV type 16 18 31 45, long term immune response 9. 4 years, and is well tolerated.
Both give protection against cervical cancer but gardasil offers also protection against condyloma (vulvar verrucae). Your doctor will specify which is better for you.
