Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
Approximately 85% of all patients diagnosed with MS start with the Relapsing-Remitting form of the disease.

What typically happens is that a patient will have a relapse (exacerbation, attack) of MS-related symptoms and impairment.
Then when those symptoms (or impairments) subside, the patient is in the remitting (or recovery) stage of the disease.
Some patients will go back to baseline during the remissions, but there are others patients who experience incomplete recovery and have residual disability or symptoms.

This is the classic pattern of MS - relapse, remission, relapse, remission. One of the best things you can do is to stay in touch with your neurologist.

So you are now in the remission period
