No you should not discontinue the use of statins as this will result in re-increase in the levels of the bad cholesterol (i.e., LDL). You just need to keep closely monitoring your liver enzymes levels, avoid taking other medications unless necessary (most medications are metabolized in the liver before they are able to produce their effects, so taking too many meds at the same time exhausts the liver), avoid other things that may raise the liver enzymes such as alcohol and fatty foods, and follow up with your treating physician. In the event of continuous rise of these enzymes, a dose adjustment, or switching to another type of statins, may be advised.
