My sister is 18 years old she is having irregular periods and told me that shi never felt horny in hel life even when shi makesout what might be the reasons and solutions please help
Menstrual cycle irregularities in adolescents and young adults can result from a number of conditions, such as nutritional deficiencies, weight problems (mainly being underweight), thyroid gland disorders (be it hyperthyroidism or an overactive thyroid gland, or hypothyroidism or "lazy" thyroid gland), in addition to the possibility of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), whereby there are cysts (bag like structures or growths) on the ovaries that may be secreting female sex hormones and thus interfering with the regularity of the menstrual cycle. PCOS is usually associated with obesity and excess hair, especially in unusual body parts like the face and abdomen.
In order to identify the exact underlying cause of the menstrual cycle irregularities, a thorough evaluation, including a detailed history and a complete physical examination by a physician are required. Blood tests searching for evidence of anemia, thyroid hormone levels, and sex hormone levels, may be needed. An ultrasound of the ovaries may also be required.
Regarding the absence of sexual excitation, this could result from hormonal imbalances, psychological factors, or a combination of both. As such this issue must also be tackled by the treating physician.

Annual Checkup
It is recommended that all individuals see a Family Doctor for a full medical examination annually. Adults should get their blood pressure checked (US Preventive Task Force), a flu vaccine (CDC) and more each year.
The American Dental Association recommends dental cleanings for adults at least twice annually. Some stains can only be removed by a professional cleaning.
It’s recommended by the American Academy of Ophthalmology that every adult between the ages of 18 and 80 does an eye examination at least once every two years.
It's recommended by the American Cancer Association that every adult between the age of 20 and 80 does an annual skin screening by a licensed dermatologist.
