My period hasn't arrived since 3 or 4 months. I am definitely not pregnant. Is weight gain a main reason? Should i be worried?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
When you say you are definitely not pregnant, this means that you are either not sexually active, or that you have taken the home-pregnancy test around 10 days after the due date of your menstrual period and the result was negative. If both these scenarios do not fit your case, I advise you to take a pregnancy test, home-based or in the doctor's office, especially that you have mentioned weight gain, which may point towards possible pregnancy.
If you are not pregnant, a few months delay in menstrual period warrants a detailed evaluation by a gynecologist, to assess your uterus and ovaries on physical examination, ultrasound, and test their functions by taking the blood levels of sex hormones. Usually, the disturbance or absence of menstrual period may be due to a disease in the ovaries or uterus, or a problem in the centers in the brain that regulate the function of the ovaries. Both possibilities should be entertained, based upon a more detailed history and findings on the physical examination.
