Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Aspirin for prevention is initiated based upon the evaluation of the cardiovascular risk (including age, gender, smoking status, cholesterol profile, and systolic (upper) blood pressure. Blue digits can result from more than one underlying cause, including exposure to cold (the so called Raynaud's phenomenon, though this is much more common in females) and others. You husband needs to be evaluated at the doctor's office to better understand these symptoms and proceed with the management accordingly.
