Dr. Karim Farah Pulmonology
we need to know more details about your father health status: his age, his smoking history, exposure, any family history of malignancies. and the reason why he did the CT,(screening, for toher reasons or if there is a cough or other symptoms.)

lung nodules less than 5-7 mm in size should be followed up after 3-6months by a CT and check if the nodule is increasing in size or not. if unchanged than u repeat the CT every 6 m up to 2 years and then forget about it if the size shape or content doesn't change.

if the size is increasing then a biopsy should be done ( either by bronchoscopy, or CT guides biopsy if unable to reach by bronchoscopy) to determine the pathology and cause of the lung nodule.
