My dermatologist started treating my acne by popping every 2wks with the old needle/circle metal rod method.I stopped going to his treatments since it was expensive(100/visit)& now I have acne scars.
first avoid popping pimples since it causes scarring and hyperpigmentaion,
may be if you continue with your dermatologist she will offer you after this phase of needle popping treatment of the scars seen ,
doing lots of pressure during the procedure may lead to scaring
not applying warm compresses during or before may increase risk of scaring
however acne scarring can be effectively improved with chemical peels, dermabrasion, lasers, and dermarolling.
