The digestive system of your baby is getting used to breaking down new types of food that are significantly different from milk: they are solid, contain different nutrients, and also contain particles such as the banana seeds. Constipation and sometimes loose stools may develop, especially in the early stages of solid food introduction. The stool color will also vary with the kinds of food, particularly food items that are naturally pigmented, like carrots. As long as your baby is not vomiting, having diarrhea, or any allergic reactions, and as long as the constipation is not too bad, then you need not worry.
