Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
If your baby is wheezing, which is to breathe with difficulty usually with a whistling sound, it may be an indication of various things. It may be as a result of a cold or bronchiolitis, or inflammation of the small airways, which is caused by viral respiratory infections. However, almost 50 percent of infants have an episode of wheezing in the first year of life and then in the second year tend to become less frequent ,bronchiolitis symptoms usually better after 2 years old child ,ANTIBIOTICS are not necessary since most causes are viral, hydration is the best to do
if the wheeze continues or increased in intensity then it is advised to seek medical attention just to be safe.
