My 7 week-old boy sleeps on both sides of his head. He's flipping his ears which is leading them to stick out. Is there a way to keep his ears flat? I tried cotton hats but he removes it when moving.

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Ears that stick out is a feature that is mainly rooted in genetics; ear pinna is made up of cartilage, so the chances of it becoming deformed because of malpositioning are almost non existent. If there is family history of protruding ears, and your son seems to have those, then there isn't much that can be done at this stage. Corrective plastic surgery can be entertained in the future if the deformity is grave enough.
