Is olive oil soap good for intimate wash?
Aug 14, 2014

Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
No, it is not recommended and not advised, neither oil nor other soap products. Used products must have a pH similar to the vaginal pH and must have been tested for the intimate wash use.

These are the effects of using oil and other soaps intimately:
>Using soaps or lubricants internally raises women's risk of STIs
>The products can upset pH levels and bacteria balances
>Can also damage delicate tissues, allowing harmful organisms to proliferate
>Test results showed that the women who used products not intended for internal use, such as oils and Vaseline, were more likely to have yeast and bacterial infections.
