Highly improbable. It is most likely due to an inflammation in the ribs (costochondritis) or it's stress - related. But can you please tell me if the pain occurs at rest or after exerting effort? Can you also indicate the specific location of the pain (right chest, left chest, mid-chest)? How do you describe it: pressure-like or heaviness, burning, pricking, squeezing? Does it radiate anywhere and if so then where to? Is it associated with anyone other symptoms (like shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting, cough, cold sweats, dizziness, loss of consciousness)? What usually precipitates it (exercise or effort, stress)? What makes it better? Or worse? Are you on medication? Any close relatives with heart disease at a young age?
