If I reduce my food portions or skip meals I lose around 2 kilos in one or two days. Is this normal?

No for sure not normal
if you try many different ways to gain weight and you haven't gain weight ,and if you lose this much of kilos only just of skipping a meal ,then there might be an underlying medical condition causing this ,like hyperthyroid (high thyroxine level) for example and othres
If you have other symptoms such as almost hot hands,diarrhes complains,hair thining or other symptoms check your thyroxin level
visit the doctor for ordering the recommended tests needed to know the cause.
remember check the scale you are using and see if its reading is the same as other scale in the pharmacy.
