I have pain in the chest bones/muscles when I press on the chest cage,specifically it is all along the central bone that connects the ribs.The pain isn't consistent,sometimes it disappears for a while
This is known as costochondritis, which is an inflammation of the cartilage at the points where the ribs insert into the chest bone. It's a benign self limited condition that should resolve on its own within a few days. You can resort to non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs to hasten recovery.
