I have a genital herpes and I take Valtrex when ever I feel itching or little pain 2mg a day for 3 days and sometime I extended for couple of days if I still feel anything, but last time I still feel the itching but very very little and its not going away! dose this have to do with my condition? by the way I always notice a red light spots on my genital (always around the top part and on the edges) since 2 or 3 years each month or two and the upper layer of the skin will change to light dry white (like when you got sun burns and your skin start peeling off) but I apply always very very little Elocom for 3 or 4 days and will disappear and comeback in a month or so! any permanent solution for this?

The regimen of Valtrex you are using is not the classical one (not "by the book").
Anyways, for your skin condition, it is really hard to get a diagnosis based on what you are describing. And Applying corticosteroids on this region is really not so recommended. I can not give further advices based on what I had (information).
