Hyperglycemic Patient, A sudden hyperglycemia to more than 430 ml/dL, what type of emergency drug can be used? Patient use Glimepiride & Metformin.

The first drug to be given is IV-insulin rapid, the second treatment is to give bicarbonate to counteract metabolic acidosis. The patient will have to be followed by taking hourly blood and urine sugar.
