Prolonged menstrual bleeding can have a number of different underlying causes. If you are taking medications like aspirin or advil for a long period of time, this may explain it. Pregnancy, especially ectopic pregnancy (outside the womb) is another possibility. Severe stress from emotional causes or stress on your body because of severe weight loss is also another possible explanation. Benign fibroids (ألياف) in the uterus (womb) may produce prolonged menstrual bleeding.
