Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
if you are testing for diabetes ,and also concerning the tsh test it is not reliable alone to figure a diagnose both tests are missing
The primary test to screen for prediabetes are
-The glycated hemoglobin (Hb A1C) test.
-Fasting blood sugar test
-Oral glucose tolerance test. these all will give an answer beside symptoms
Concerning the Thyroid ,you had made only the TSH test which is somehow at the upper limit so
> if this result for TSH beside symptoms you describe before and some further tests you may have either a pre-hypothyroid disease(subclinical-and you will have to check every 6 month again for possible hypothyroidism (lazy throid)
>if the Tsh is upper limit + symptoms+abnormal T3 and freeT4 or antibodies then you must be checked for a thyroid disease to take the treatment .
So you have to test for thyroxin antibodies,t3 and free t4 levels
so my advice ,check with a doctor to order the full tests required ,the test are related to each other to diagnose and take the necessary medications
