Dr. Salim Saab Otolaryngology (ENT)
There's no cure for Cholinergic Urticaria but treatments exist to improve this condition depending on the cause of this condition.
If it's due to Sweat hypersensitivity (being sensitive to one's own sweat) then, the treatment would be: Rapid desensitization protocol using autologous sweat, antihistamines, anti-IgE therapy,...etc.
If it's due to acquired anhidrosis and/or hypohydrosis (having reduced sweating) the treatment would be: with systemic steroids therapy, rapid cooling....etc.
Also a certain diet in which hot food and beverages, highly spicy food and alcohol are banned.
Furthermore, emotional stress, sauna baths, exercise, immersion in hot water, ...etc. can trigger the condition which is why they are to be avoided.
