Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Emergency contraception pills are known to induce nausea and vomiting, and usually to prevent vomiting the dose, we give an anti-emetic (such as metroclopramide) about half an hour before the administration of the dose.

Given that the vomiting occurred about three and a half hours after having taken the dose, then this is OK, because this period of time is longer than two hours, the average time it takes a typical medication to be absorbed from the stomach.

In any case, should you have menstrual delay of no less than 10 days, then you should take a home-pregnancy test - taking the test before this amount of time has lapsed does not allow for accurate results.
