Excuse me, I've asked why I have a harsh salty taste in the back of my throat a week ago and no one has answered me. Can I get an answer please?

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
There could be a number of various reasons for this salty taste in your mouth, starting from dehydration (if you do not drink enough fluids), to post nasal drip (in case you suffer from chronic allergies in your nose and sinuses with constant back flow of sputum from your nasal sinuses, such that you can feel you are swallowing them), to acid reflux, whereby the acid content of the stomach goes up into your esophagus and produces a sour taste and irritative cough, especially upon rising up in the morning; you may also get hoarseness. And if you are on chronic medications, this may also be a reason.
I recommend that you get better evaluated by a physician since we cannot identify the exact cause with this little information.
