Each time my baby boy(6month)eats potato(steemed&mashed)he got red around his mouth for 24h(like allergy).tried 3 different time:potato steemed, boiled, potato mixed w/veggy. The ped says:weird. Advise
It is indeed a bit unusual for an infant to develop an allergic reaction, even though mild and localized, to potatoes. Potato allergy in children has been reported in few cases only - I could not find except a few medical articles on the topic; and cases of allergy to cooked potatoes (as opposed to raw potatoes) have been reported in children only. The good news is that at least half of the children who develop a food allergy during the first year of life eventually outgrow it by the time they are 2 or 3 years of age. Some reactions to food (for example, milk) are more likely to be outgrown than others.
In a separate answer, I have provided you with a list of the manifestations of a severe allergic reaction. The reaction that your son is exhibiting is not worrisome. You may however opt to eliminate potatoes from his diet and then gradually try to reintroduce it at an older age, say as of the age of 12 months, in increments (gradually increasing the amount of the serving and observing for any skin rash or other signs of allergic reaction).

Annual Checkup
It is recommended that all individuals see a Family Doctor for a full medical examination annually. Adults should get their blood pressure checked (US Preventive Task Force), a flu vaccine (CDC) and more each year.
The American Dental Association recommends dental cleanings for adults at least twice annually. Some stains can only be removed by a professional cleaning.
It’s recommended by the American Academy of Ophthalmology that every adult between the ages of 18 and 80 does an eye examination at least once every two years.
It's recommended by the American Cancer Association that every adult between the age of 20 and 80 does an annual skin screening by a licensed dermatologist.
