Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
a question to consider ,had your periods were normal regular before pregnancy ,then probably the same cause that causes the irregularity before pregnancy is the same now ,if you had before PCOS(polycystic ovary syndrome )where you have ovaries cyst before pregnancy the problem might be the same or you might have it newly (symptoms acne, irregular periods, overweight, excess facial hair)
now if your period is normal before and now change then It is common to have heavier and/or irregular periods than normal when they do resume, for months on end.Don't worry
but don't rely on period as contraception use a birthcontrol pill or consider other contraceptions (that would regulate you periods too)
