Dr.rania: if someone needs to get an operation for his penis to be much taller is there any side effect in long term?
Aug 20, 2014

Dr. Rania Mousa General Medicine
The typical erect penis is usually 5 to 6 inches long with a circumference of 4 to 5 inches. There's more variation in the size of flaccid penises.

Some guys are genuinely smaller than that. In rare cases, genetics and hormone problems cause a condition called micropenis -- an erect penis of under 3 inches.
most of the guys seeking penis enlargement are average-sized.

Psychology plays a role, too. Some average-sized guys become obsessed with the idea that they're too small
There are lots and lots of supposed options - penis pills, creams, brutal stretching exercises, horrific-looking devices, ...... Almost none of it works.

There is one safe and effective method for getting a larger-looking penis: weight loss
Losing weight will reveal more of that hidden shaft that's buried beneath belly fat. It doesn't actually increase your size, but it will look that way.

For guys who would rather have a surgical procedure than eat less, liposuction of the fat pad around the penis can work. Still, the effects aren't permanent -- if you don't change your eating habits, your penis will once again sink into your belly, like a pier at high tide.
surgery of penis enlargement can work, but there are a lot of cautions

However ,Modern surgery is safe and thanks to advances in medical technology and anaesthesia the chances of anything going wrong are very small.

However no surgery is 100% safe and side effects complications do occur although this tends to be rare.
>>some undesirable effects of penis enlargement surgery are:
-No difference in size or width
-Adverse reaction to anaesthesia
-Chest pains
-Damage to nerve endings
-Shortness of breath
-Irregular/racing heartbeat
-Infection
-Intense pain
-Excess bleeding

There are also risks specific to either of the two procedures:
>Penis lengthening:
1. An infection or a lack of blood flow to the skin of the penis which results in ulceration.
2. The penis appears to hang from the scrotum rather than the abdomen giving a ‘lop-sided’ appearance.

>Penis widening:
1. The appearance of irregular shaped ‘fatty’ lumps on the penis.
2. Fat is reabsorbed which reduces the width. This will happen over a period of time.

There are side effects which are common to all types of surgery and risks which are specific to a particular procedure. With penis enlargement surgery these include fewer rigid erections and less/more sensitivity. However these will be explained thoroughly by your surgeon during the consultation.

My advice ,is that if your penis size is in the average and you and your partner are satisfied and no other symptoms you had then why to make it ,it doesn't change anything concerning intercourse ,the women get aroused by the stimulation of her clitoris and her g spot and size doesn't affect that at all (in oppsite of what advertisement try to say )so if this is the reason and if the reason totally cosmetic no need

However ,check with a surgeon or a urologist tell your concerns and he after examining you will tell how effective or not a surgery to you .
