every medication has side effects, but we prescribe them when the benefits outweigh the risk, you should do a dosage of vit D in your blood before continuing the treatment.
vitamins A, D , E , K are fat soluble, so if you take too much they will be stored in your fat cells as opposed to other vitamins that are water soluble & will be excreted in urine.
