Does bee venom inserted in macromolecules destroy HIV, hipetitis B & C and some cancer types? If yes why are they still uncurable?
Jan 2, 2015

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Hepatitis C is treatable - during 2014, a number of effective drugs has been released into the market for treating Hepatitis C infection, such as Viekira Pak (AbbVie) and sofosbuvir (Sovaldi), in the hopes of halting progress from acute infection to chronic infection. HIV and Hepatitis B infections can be put under control and there is a wide array of therapeutic options and antiviral cocktails, but so far these infections are not curable. Cancers are a myriad group of uncontrollable cell growth; some fair well, others don't. It all depends on the type, stage at presentation, and the particular patient's response to treatment - we are in the era of personalized medicine whereby treatment will be designed according to each patient's biologic mechanisms of disease.
The use of bee venom is still an experimental venture: nothing conclusive about its therapeutic potentials has been published.
