It could be a form of tension headache, the most common type of headache and usually attributed to persistent muscle spasm or tension in the area of the shoulders, neck, and scalp muscles and is known to get worse with exposure to cold and stress, or a type of migraine headache known as ophthalmoplegic migraine, a very rare headache that has a preponderance for the younger adult population and is characterized by pain that centers around one eye and is usually less intense than in a classic migraine. It may be associated with vomiting, double vision, a droopy eyelid, and paralysis of eye muscles. In order to discern the underlying disorder that is causing your symptoms, you need to visit a neurologist who will make the diagnosis based on the history of your condition and your physical examination. The management will be decided accordingly.
