Your kidneys are amazing machines! Their job is to make sure your body has the perfect fluid balance, so when you are drinking plenty of water, your kidneys will filtrate the "extra" fluid, leading to frequent urination. And when your body is dehydrated, your kidneys will do their best to minimize water loss in the form of urine.
That being said, what you might consider excessive or normal urination is really a subjective analysis. In order to make sure of your exact case, an OBJECTIVE assessment is needed. The "toilet diary" is a MUST. It is very easy to do, and there are even smartphone apps nowadays to help you in the matter!
Again, I advise you to check with your urologist to see if there is really a problem, or it is just a matter of intake-excretion balance.
