Can women take Cialis 5mg?
Dec 1, 2014

Dr. Zakia Dimassi Pediatrics
Cialis (tadalafil) is typically used for treatment of erectile dysfunction (impotence) and management of symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (prostate enlargement) in men. In women, this drug is not indicated but may be prescribed off-label in the treatment of pulmonary artery hypertension (high blood pressure in the blood vessel that supplies blood to the heart) and Raynaud’s phenomenon (insufficient blood flow to the hand and fingers caused by extreme cold temperature or stress).
When a woman receives this medication, she should inform her doctor in case she became pregnant or is planning to conceive while taking this medication.
The question of whether Cialis is effective in sexual arousal problems in women remains controversial. Up until today, there are no available data and well controlled studies to conclude whether Cialis can help women who have poor or absent sexual desire.
